Bee Safari

Get close up with bees on a bee safari Image – Debi Holland

Have you ever wanted to know more about the bees in your garden?

I like nothing more than talking about bees. In fact I could talk the hind legs off a donkey. But imagine a leisurely walk around a lovely garden, looking the plants that are magnets for pollinators and some of the visiting bees in the garden. I like to catch a few bees so you can see them really close up and then share some of my love of these precious creatures.

Most people know that we have honeybees, bumblebees and maybe some other bees, but that is the extent of their knowledge. Let me introduce you to some of our unsung garden heroes and reveal some of their quirky stories.

This summer I’m taking Bee Safaris at Yeo Valley Gardens. Come and join me for coffee and cake, an illustrated talk and then a walk around the gravel garden and beyond where we will search out the bees feeding and nesting in the garden.

I’ll be bringing my very popular nature table and showing you the beauty of our bees.

It’s a fun and full morning at these lovely gardens.
