If you love bees and fancy a lovely morning out, why not come and join me on a bee safari at the fabulous organic gardens near Blagdon in Somerset.
We start with coffee (or tea) and cake in the amazing Yurt, followed by an illustrated talk about some of our garden bees, focusing on bumblebees and solitary bees as well as the plants that they need to feed on.
There’s a nature table for you to look at some bees and bee nesting materials close up.
Then we take a slow walk around part of the garden looking at the bees feeding in the garden. Depending on the weather we expect to find a few different species of bees. We will look at some of the power plants that really are bee magnets and see the bees in action. Then it’s back to the Yurt for Q&A’s.
The tearoom is open for light lunch, cakes and other delicious treats (not included). And don’t miss the delicious organic ice-cream in the shop!
