September 2022

The bee season is starting to slide into autumn. In our gardens the bumblebee nests have generated male bee and next year’s queen bees. The changing seasons are starting to show. It’s the last hurrah for bee season in the UK. I’ve got just a few more dates in my bee diary, before the bumblebees, wild bees and me, start to hunker down for the winter.

Jekka’s Herb Farm Open Days

The last open days at Jekka’s herb farm are September 9th and 10th 2022. I will be there both days taking Bee Tours around the fantabulous Herbetum. Do come and join us. Jekka’s is not only a wonderful, independent nursery growing fantabulous organic herbs, but there’s a new garden in creation and a lovely shop with Jekka’s herbal teas, organic herb seeds, Jekka’s favourite tools and garden accessories, not to mention divine cakes, lovely herbal teas and coffee to revive you. Such a lovely place to spend a morning or an afternoon. And most importantly you can listen to the Herb Queen talk about herbs. What a privilege.

Yeo Valley September Specials

As part of the Soil Association’s Organic September, Yeo Valley is hosting a number of inspiring and influential speakers in the meadow yurt. And one of them is me!! How exciting. So do come and join me on September 28th 2022, for coffee (or tea) CAKE and an illustrated talk plus a Bee Safari within this lovely organic garden. It’s the last chance to dance with bees this year, so please do come and join us. You do need to book and places are limited.

Book me for next season

I am already taking bookings for 2023, so if you’d like me to come and talk at your event or book me for a bee safari, do please get in touch.
