Excited to share that I have been shortlisted for a very prestigious award for an article I wrote for Telegraph Gardening.
I am one of six finalists for the Garden Media Guild Environmental Journalist of the Year sponsored by Beth Chatto Education Trust.
The winner will be announced on November 17th 2023 at The Savoy Hotel in London at the Garden Media Guild Awards.
My article in Telegraph Gardening for the Daily Telegraph was one of six entries shortlisted for the award. You can read it here: It turns out we have been saving the wrong bees. Or more succinctly – Why keeping honeybees won’t save the bees!
Watch this space to learn which story, message or theme of an environmental issue in gardening, captured the judges hearts.
Beth Chatto was one of the most influential gardeners of the 20th Century, whose writing and style of gardening changed the way we think about our gardens. I was very privileged to meet Beth Chatto early on in my career. I was presented with this award in 2020 for another article that I wrote about bees in the Daily Telegraph.
