I often get asked to do a short presentation to augment an event or just to inspire and educate participants. This time I was at the Redcatch Community Garden, in Knowle in Bristol as part of the 2024 Bee Bold Awards. It was a great day at a very inspiring community project.
I did a five minute presentation on the importance of wild ivy for our pollinators before the winners of the Metro Mayor’s Bee Bold Awards were announced.
I took my interactive pollinator inspired nature table which was very popular with the visitors.
The Bee Bold Awards is focused on the West of England and is supported by WECA (West of England Combined Authority). The Initiative is part of the West of England Metro Mayer, Dan Norris quest to make the West of England the Bee and Pollinator Capital of the UK and to increase wildlife by 30% by 2030. The Bee Bold Awards celebrate organisations taking action to support pollinators and tackle the ecological crisis.
