I’m really excited to be a tutor at RHS Rosemoor this summer. Come and join me in these amazing gardens so that I can introduce you to some of the charming bumblebees and fascinating solitary bees that bring our gardens alive and pollinate our plants.
We start with an illustrated talk where I share some of the secrets about our garden bees and their incredible and fascinating lives. I can’t wait to tell you about some of them.
You will find out why our gardens are so important for pollinators, discover how to support these precious pollinators by choosing powerful plants that really earn their place in the pollinator garden, and understand about nesting sites and insect houses.
After tea/coffee and cake, we will head outside to meet some of the bees close-up during a bumblebee safari around the garden. By the end of the afternoon you will better understand the needs of your garden bees, giving you the knowledge and confidence to make positive plant and gardening choices to transform your plot into a true bee-friendly, pollinator paradise.
I’ll be bringing my bee-focused nature table and there will be plenty of chances to ask all those questions you need answers to.
