Community Events

One of the fun parts of my work is interacting with different community groups but especially groups that are focused on gardens, growing, wildlife and of course pollinators.

If it’s bee season I love to take a bee safari around the gardens to inspire and educate visitors about the diverse species of bees and other pollinators they might find in their own gardens. I will gently catch a few bumblebees so that I can show people the beauty of these creatures close up. Then they are safely released back into the gardens.

I usually take my nature table. There’s something for everyone and all ages. Lots of real but deceased bumblebees to look at close-up and other pollinator inspired models, samples and nesting materials.
